Engine (Power)


Across the Altima lineup, you'll find a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 188 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque when you pair this engine with front-wheel drive. Choose all-wheel drive, and this same engine has an output of 182 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. If you want a more powerful engine, you can get an optional turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 236 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque. These numbers change slightly when you put 93 octane gas in the tank, as the horsepower rises to 248 and the torque rating jumps to 273 pound-feet. You can get this engine for the front-wheel-drive variation of the SR. A continuously variable transmission pairs with both engines.

Cloth seats come on the lower trims, and as you move up to the SR, SL, and Platinum trims, the Altima comes with supply leather upholstery with sports seats on the SR trim. Additional luxury features that come with select packages and trims include heated and ventilated front seats, driver's seat power lumbar support, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and carpeted floor mats. Nissan's infotainment system comes with a 7- or 8-inch touch screen, depending on the trim. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, Bluetooth, voice recognition, and Siri eyes-free come standard across the Altima lineup. The lower trims come with a six-speaker sound system, and the luxury upper tiers have a nine-speaker Bose system.
